I’ve just discovered my new favorite charity, The Campaign for Drawing.

THE CAMPAIGN FOR DRAWING
The Campaign for Drawing has one aim: to get everyone drawing!
Drawing helps us to understand the world, think, feel, shape and communicate ideas. It is fun, accessible and invaluable – in education and everyday life.
Our annual Big Draw festival runs throughout October. Over 1000 organisations in the UK and fifteen other countries participate – offering events for all ages and abilities. Find your nearest events here.
For those of you in Los Angeles, please visit The Big Draw LA. I’m definitely planning to look over their calendar of events for this month to plan some family drawing activities. I love finding events that we can spend time together as a family to enjoy drawing, painting, and art!

Let’s draw together!

Ryman Arts presents Make Your Mark in the Park on October 13
The Ryman Arts’ Big Draw LA flagship event, “Make Your Mark in the Park,” takes place at noon on Sunday, October 13 at Los Angeles’ Grand Park. A fun-filled, creative afternoon, we will celebrate the act of drawing by welcoming thousands of Angelenos to draw together. With both public performances and many participatory drawing activities, Grand Park will be transformed into a giant experimental drawing studio.
The Big Draw LA is a series of drawing activities where the public – people of all ages and abilities – get to make art at a wide variety of venues — from museums and parks to unique locations in neighborhoods. These events are organized and led by community-based organizations across the region.
